Getting started

How do I turn on Rizz Keyboard?

The setup screen in the app walks you through it. To do it yourself:

1. Open the Settings app and go to General › Keyboard › Keyboards.
2. Tap Add New Keyboard… and choose Rizz Keyboard under Third-Party Keyboards.
3. Tap Rizz Keyboard in your list of keyboards, turn on Allow Full Access, and tap Allow.

You can also find these switches in Settings › Apps › Rizz Keyboard › Keyboards (on iOS 17, Settings › Rizz Keyboard › Keyboards).

Why does it need Full Access?

iOS only lets a keyboard use the internet when Full Access is on. Rizz Keyboard needs the internet for one thing: sending the screenshot or text to our server, which passes it to our AI provider, OpenAI, and getting your replies back.

Apple shows a general warning when you turn Full Access on. Here’s what Rizz Keyboard actually does:

• It has no letter keys, and it doesn’t record or send what you type.
• When you tap a reply, it clears the text box and puts the reply in. That’s the only time it touches the text in your chat, and it doesn’t save or send that text.
• It sends only the screenshot or text you give it, or a new image that shows up in Photos or on your clipboard while it’s open and waiting (see What does it pick up on its own?). Nothing is sent until you’ve agreed to AI data sharing.

Why does it need Full Access to my photos?

So it can see the screenshot you just took. With Limited Access, iOS only shows the keyboard photos you picked earlier, so it can’t see new screenshots.

While it’s open and waiting, the keyboard watches for new screenshots and images added to Photos, and Use last screenshot picks your newest one. It sends only the one image it uses, never your photo library, and it stops watching when it closes.

To turn it on, tap Continue on the Photos step during setup and choose Allow Full Access (or tap Allow Photos in the keyboard). Or go to Settings › Apps › Rizz Keyboard › Photos (on iOS 17, Settings › Rizz Keyboard › Photos) and choose Full Access.

What does “Replies are written by AI” mean?

Replies are written by OpenAI’s AI, so the keyboard has to send it your chat. The app’s setup explains what’s sent and asks you to agree. New screenshots and images you save or copy while the keyboard is open go to OpenAI automatically, plus any screenshot or text you pick. If you skipped setup or tapped Not now, the keyboard shows “Replies are written by AI” and asks you to tap Agree before its first use. Nothing is sent until you agree. You can turn this off again at any time (see AI data sharing).

Using the keyboard

How do I use it?

1. Open a chat in any app and tap the text box.
2. Switch to Rizz Keyboard: tap the globe key, or touch and hold it and choose Rizz Keyboard.
3. Take a screenshot of the chat (side button + volume up; on iPhones with a Home button, side button + Home button). Your replies start writing on their own.
4. Tap a reply to put it in your text box. It replaces anything already typed there. Edit it if you like, then send it yourself.

• gimme another writes one more reply. After 10 replies it changes to start over.
• The back arrow clears the replies so you can take a new screenshot.
• Use last screenshot uses the newest screenshot already in your Photos.
• Paste text uses whatever you copied: their message, or an image of the chat.
• Rizz Keyboard has no letter keys. To type, tap the globe key to switch back to your usual keyboard.

What does it pick up on its own?

Once you’ve agreed to AI data sharing, while Rizz Keyboard is open and waiting, it uses the first new image that shows up, and it doesn’t have to be a screenshot. That can be a screenshot you take, a photo you take, any image you save to Photos (or that another app saves there), or an image you copy in any app. An image from the minute before you opened the keyboard counts too. If you step away briefly, say to edit a screenshot, and come back within about three minutes, it’s still waiting. That image is sent to the AI to write your replies.

So while the keyboard is up, only screenshot, save, or copy what you want replies to. If you don’t want an image sent, switch to another keyboard with the globe key first. Once it’s writing replies, it stops looking until you tap the back arrow.

Can I try it without a real chat?

Yes. In the app, tap Practice chat to try the keyboard on a mock match. Practice replies are built in, so they don’t use your free replies and nothing is sent to the AI.

Free replies and Pro

How many free replies do I get?

5 replies every week. Each reply counts as one, including each gimme another. Your free replies reset every 7 days, and the app’s Settings shows how many you have left and when they reset.

What is Rizz Keyboard Pro?

Pro removes the weekly limit, so you get unlimited replies. (To keep things running for everyone, short per-minute limits apply to all users. Normal use never gets near them.) It’s a weekly or yearly subscription billed to your Apple ID. The app shows the price for your country, and any free trial you’re eligible for, before you subscribe. It renews automatically until you cancel.

How do I cancel my subscription?

1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
2. Tap Subscriptions, then Rizz Keyboard.
3. Tap Cancel Subscription.

If you’re subscribed, you can also get there from the Rizz Keyboard app: Settings › Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your plan renews to avoid the next charge. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel your subscription.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all payments, so refunds come from Apple, not from us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, choose Request a refund, and pick the Rizz Keyboard purchase.

How do I restore my purchase?

On a new iPhone or after reinstalling, open the app and go to Settings › Restore purchases, or tap Restore at the top of the upgrade screen. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.

Privacy and your data

What gets sent, and to whom?

The screenshot or image (made smaller first), or the text, is sent over an encrypted connection to our relay server on Cloudflare. The relay passes it to our AI provider, OpenAI, which writes the replies. The relay doesn’t keep or log your screenshots, chats, or replies, and neither do we anywhere else. The keyboard also sends a random install ID. The relay uses it and your IP address only for per-minute limits and doesn’t store either one. The Privacy Policy has the details, including how long OpenAI may keep data.

How do I turn off AI data sharing?

Open the Rizz Keyboard app, tap Settings (the gear), and turn off AI data sharing under Privacy. The keyboard stops right away: while it’s off, it doesn’t send anything, so it can’t write replies. Turn it back on in the same place, or tap Agree in the keyboard.

How do I delete my data?

There’s no account, and we don’t keep anything about you on our servers. Everything Rizz Keyboard stores (your Pro status, free-reply count, AI sharing choice, random install ID, setup progress, and setup answers) stays on your iPhone. Delete the app to erase it.

• To remove just the keyboard: Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards, tap Edit, and remove Rizz Keyboard.
• Your screenshots stay in your Photos library. Delete them in Photos if you don’t want them.
• Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it separately.

Troubleshooting

The keyboard doesn’t show up

• Check that it’s added: Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards should list Rizz Keyboard.
• In a chat, touch and hold the globe key and choose Rizz Keyboard.
• iOS always uses Apple’s keyboard for password fields and some number fields, and a few apps block third-party keyboards. Try another text box or app.
• Still missing? Restart your iPhone, or remove Rizz Keyboard and add it again.

It says “Turn on Full Access”

Go to Settings › Apps › Rizz Keyboard › Keyboards and turn on Allow Full Access (on iOS 17, Settings › Rizz Keyboard › Keyboards). Then switch to another keyboard and back.

It says “Allow Photos access”

Tap Allow Photos and choose Allow Full Access. If you chose something else before, go to Settings › Apps › Rizz Keyboard › Photos and choose Full Access.

I took a screenshot and nothing happened

• Make sure Rizz Keyboard was the keyboard on screen when you took it.
• If the keyboard says Replies are written by AI, tap Agree first. Only images added after you agree are picked up on their own.
• Make sure Photos access is Full Access, not Limited Access.
• Tap Use last screenshot to use the screenshot you just took.

Replies don’t appear, or it says “That took too long”

• Check your internet connection. If it only fails on cellular, make sure Rizz Keyboard is allowed to use cellular data in Settings › Cellular.
• Tap the back arrow and try again.
• If it says the AI is overwhelmed, wait a minute and try again. This can happen if you tap gimme another very quickly many times in a row, or when our AI provider is busy or down.
• If it says “No screenshots found”, take a screenshot of the chat first.
• If it says “Copy their message or a screenshot first”, Paste text needs something copied.
• If it says you’ve used your free replies, they’ll come back when your week resets, or you can go Pro.

I have Pro but the keyboard still says I’m out of replies

Open the Rizz Keyboard app and check that Settings shows Rizz Keyboard Pro as Active. If it doesn’t, tap Restore purchases. Then go back to your chat and switch to the keyboard again.
